Laura Marlin mysteries

Title: a Laura Marlin mystery

Author: Lauren St John

About: Laura is an orphan who was raised in sylvan meadows, discovers she had an uncle and is now on her way to Cornwall… Join Laura on her  adventures with Tariq, her Indian friend, and Skye her Siberian husky.

My review: I really like the " Laura Marlin mysteries" because they really bring the best out of everything negative, and make every Marlin mystery... no longer a mystery. These books feature action, adventure and a lot of conundrum. My favourite book is Dead man's Cove, because it is really the main book for all those readers thirsty for action and the way how her first few days were described in lots of details. I would recommend these books for 5+.

Roald Dahl

Title: Roald Dahl books
Author: Roald Dahl
About: These books are from a world famous author called Roald Dahl. They are all fiction books and specialise in humour. In books such as the twits, you will find lots of        disgusting  yet funny parts. However, in books such as       George's Marvellous Medicine, you will find elements such   as humour and gruesomeness.

My review: I really liked all of these books because they can really entertain anyone and turn sadness to laughter in only a few pages! However, my all time favourite book from Roald Dahl would be, Esio Trot (Tort Oise) because of the funny illustrations by Quentin Blake and the amazingly funny situations and answers by the one and only, Roald Dahl.

Dog Man Books

Title: Dog man

Author: Dav Pilkey

About: This book is about  a dog and a police officer, who got  injured during an explosion. However, at the hospital the dog's body was dying and the cops head was dying. You'd probably think they were dead, but think again because the nurse had a brilliant Idea, " Let's sew the dog's head onto the cop's body!!" announced the nurse. After that, there was a cop with a dog's head roaming the earth and protecting the world!

My review: I really liked the series because of all the humorous illustrations and ludicrous characters. I think it is a great idea to have created a "Dog-Man" because it's really outside-the-box thinking. My favourite book out of the above, is "Dog Man a tale of two kitties" because it features not just two kittens, but humour, sad scenes and a lot of action.

The Jungle Book by Rudyard Kipling

 Title: The Jungle book
 Author: Rudyard Kipling

About: The Jungle Book is about a boy, or man cub, called Mowgli, who was raised in the jungle by wolves, a black jaguar and a bear. However, a tiger named Shere Khan is after him, and will not stop hunting him down until Mowgli is dead...

My review: I found the Jungle Book not to my taste, because it didn't have any illustrations making it harder to imagine the scenes in your head, so if you are not an expert reader like me, it wouldn't be the be choice. I would recommend it to advanced readers at the age of 10+ .
